Did you know there is a correlation between consuming energy drinks and drug use? Have you realized the major influence families have on children to eat their fruits and veggies?
Did you know there is research confirming these things, and it's been done right here at the School of Public Health in the past year?
There are tons of research findings like this at our School, and we've begun capturing them in a quarterly newsletter called Research Breakthroughs. The first issue was released through a mass e-mail to our faculty, staff and students at the end of June, and it's now posted on the SPH website under the "research" button.
This first issue showcases five major research projects coming out of the School of Public Health that have the potential of making major societal impacts. We know there's more out there - and we'd like to include them in the next issues of Research Breakthroughs.
If you have a major research finding to tell the world about, please e-mail Dushanka Kleinman at dushanka@umd.edu or me at healthyturtle@gmail.com and ask for the outline. You can also find the outline here.
