Extra! Extra! Read All About Fall '09

The faculty and staff of SPH are back in the building, but it's been an extra special return.

As we're moving back in, we're adjusting to the first wave of completed renovations to our building, and we've been bustling around to move, organize and settle into our new offices. This is an especially exciting evolution for SPH, because this week we are welcoming the Family Science department into the building. Ironic, isn't it? Family Science, will be completing the SPH Family.

You can find out more about the renovation improvements in the post below, complete with a video tour of the building. Healthy Turtle will be posting more later about the renovation, but today, I'd like to point your attention to our Fall 2009 newsletter, recently posted to the Web site. As we are getting excited about the possibilities ahead for our School, it's also fun to look back at the events leading up to this, as we were on the cusp of the move.

Check out the Fall newsletter at http://sph.umd.edu/alumni/news.cfm#newsletter. Read about kines grad student Andrew Ludlow's trip to Australia, the new UMD-Prevention Research Center, and the major donation from Vikings' free safety and SPH alum Madieu Williams, as well as other highlights from the semester.
