This Monday, schools and organizations across the United States are celebrating “Public Health Thank You Day.” Sponsored by Research America, the day provides an opportunity for communities to thank public health professionals and researchers whose work leads to better health protection and practices. For more information about the day, visit http://www.publichealththankyouday.org/
To celebrate this day in our community of the University of Maryland, the Healthy Turtle is asking students, faculty, and staff to take part. During the next few days, take two minutes and answer the question, “Whom would you like to thank here at the School of Public Health?”
It can be a classmate, a favorite professor, a staff member, or anyone you think deserves a pat on the back. Email your responses to rmcmahon@umd.edu, and we’ll put your thank you’s up on the blog.
Thanks to all who give work diligently to make our community a great place to learn and grow, and check back Monday for the responses.
