Gearing Up for the Jerry Wrenn Golf Tourney - Register Today!

Registration is now open for the 7th annual Jerry Wrenn Scholarship Scramble, supporting School of Public Health seniors and taking place on Friday, Aug. 6 at the University of Maryland Golf Course. Registration opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 7:50 a.m. The tourney begins at 8 a.m.

Last year, 11 scholarships worth $1,000 were donated to the Jerry P. Wrenn Endowed Undergraduate Scholarship Fund, established in 2003 to support academically qualified seniors facing financial challenges. Scholarship winners since 2004 are listed here.

The event is hosted by the SPH Alumni Chapter, re-birthed in 2002. The group is responsible for holding a variety of academic and social events over the course of the year. The event remembers Dr. Jerry Wrenn, former dean of the School of Public Health (formerly the College of Health and Human Performance) from 1999 to 2002.
