
We're holding our annual HPV Awareness Pink Donut Campaign!
We will be giving out information on HPV and the vaccine, condoms, and FREE pink donuts and key chains! The pink donuts represent the cervix - as a reminder to young women to get their pap smear.
The event will be held on:
- March 31st, 10am-2pm, in front of Stamp
- April 1st, 10am-2pm, inside the School of Public Health building
Human papillomavirus is the most common sexually transmitted virus in the United States. At least 50% of sexually active people will have genital HPV at some time in their lives, according to the CDC. Several types of cancer are associated with HPV, but there are also several ways to lower your chances of contracting the virus. Read about it here.
