Go Red for Women Day

This Friday, February 6th, has been declared "Go Red for Women" day. The event, sponsored by the American Heart Association and others, aims to raise awareness about heart disease, the number one killer of women.

The School of Public Health is getting in the act, and we're asking all students, faculty and staff to wear RED this Friday and meet at 12:30 on the bottom floor of the SPH building near the large black SPH banner.

We'll take a photo of our great big group of students, staff, and faculty in support of this national health promotion campaign. Last February, we had 25 fabulous folks in the photo. Will you participate this year?

One more time, the details are:

When: Friday, February 6th at 12:30.
Where: On the bottom floor of the SPH building near the large black SPH banner.
What We Will Do: Wear RED, Take a Picture, and Support Heart Health

If you can't make it to the photo, we invite you to wear RED and show your solidarity. For more information about the photo, contact grad student Jo Zimmerman at jzimmer1@umd.edu. For more information on the Go RED For Women, visit their site here.
