Upcoming Features: Participate in the Healthy Turtle!

The Healthy Turtle wants to share what you’re doing with the greater community at School of Public Health at the University of Maryland. To do that, we need you.

Check out these upcoming features, and if you’d like to participate, please email (rmcmahon at umd dot edu) to find out more.

"What are you doing?"

Imagine you are walking down the hall and you peak your head into an office or lab to see what’s happening inside. That’s exactly what “What are you doing?” is: a brief look at the research being done by one of the school's faculty or students.

If you are a faculty or a student and are interested in sharing what you’re working on, drop a line to the Healthy Turtle.

“Ask an Alum”

This feature will include questions from students to school alumni about various topics, including finding a job in their field, internships, etc.

If you are an alum and are interested in sharing your knowledge, or if you're a student and you have questions, get in touch with the Healthy Turtle.

“Health in the News”

With health issues taking such a preeminent role in today’s news, we’d be foolish not to get insight and analysis from the smart folks we have around the SPH building.

If you see a news story on public health that you find interesting, or want to comment on a story that you feel particularly qualified to answer, share you knowledge with The Healthy Turtle.

“Student Snapshot”

We have questions, you have answers, and in Student Snapshot, those two will come together. We’ll be asking questions and looking for interesting stories, so if you have a story to tell or would like to share your thoughts on something, tell the Healthy Turtle.
